What is PictureBook AI?
PictureBook AI uses artificial intelligence to create personal, illustrated children’s books from your description. You choose the characters, language, art style, and reading level. It is not a photo-book printing service.
Can I make a picture book from my own photos?
Yes. Upload photos as character references and describe the role they should play in your story. AI creates new illustrations rather than simply placing photos on pages. Only upload images you have the necessary rights and consent to use.
How much does a book cost?
New accounts receive a one-time bonus of 16 starter credits after the required verification. A four-page book costs 16 credits on the web. Buy more credits when you need them; no subscription is required to create your own books. Find current credit packs under Account.
Which languages and reading levels are available?
You can create books in 16 languages, including English, German, French, and Spanish. Five reading levels range from first words and simple stories to texts for independent readers. Your book’s language is separate from the website language.
Can I use my iOS account on the website?
Yes. Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you use in the iOS app. Your books and credit balance belong to that account and are available across devices. Different sign-in accounts can have separate libraries.
Can I download or print my book?
Finished books can be downloaded as PDFs. The PDF is created in your browser from the book pages and is not stored as an extra file on our server. Use your device’s print function if you want a paper copy; we do not ship printed books here.
Are the texts and illustrations always correct?
No. AI can get names, details, or text inside images wrong. Review your finished book before reading or sharing it. Photos serve as references and do not guarantee an exact likeness or identical characters on every page.
