Step by step
From your idea to a finished book
Start with something familiar
Choose a character your child likes: an animal, an imaginary friend, or a favorite person. A familiar place such as a bedroom or garden gives the story a simple starting point.
Keep the plot manageable
A small wish or a friendly discovery can be enough for an evening story. A character might find a lantern, bring an animal a blanket, or say goodnight to the day. State explicitly that you do not want frightening or frantic scenes.
Describe the ending in your idea
Tell AI how the story should end: everyone is home, the lantern glows, and the adventure is complete. This gives the story a clear direction. It does not guarantee a calming effect or better sleep.
A description to try
“A little fox finds a moon lantern in the evening. He brings it home with his mother. Write a gentle story without danger, with short sentences and a cozy ending. Illustrate it in warm watercolor colors.”
Match the reading level and length
Choose one of five reading levels for your reading situation. Start with four pages when time is short. Select the book’s language and art style too; the website language does not decide your story’s language.
Read it yourself first
Review the finished book before reading it together. AI may produce unexpected details or unsuitable passages. As you read aloud, you can discuss the pictures, change names, or tell a sentence in your own words.
